Job Details Location: FLA-Daytona Beach Thrift - Holly Hill, FL 32117 Position Type: Full Time Regular Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Salary Range: $14.65 - $14.65 Hourly Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Job Category: Store Schedule/Hours: M–F 9:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week) Responsibilities Supervises and participates in the work performed by employees and community service workers in the Sorting Room/Warehouse; ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; ensures the thrift store remains adequately stocked. Supervises warehouse staff (employees, beneficiaries, community service workers) and volunteers; schedules, monitors, and evaluates their work; instructs and trains staff in the proper methods and procedures for performing work; inspects work in progress and upon completion for accuracy and completeness; responds to employee questions and assists in resolving operational and personnel problems; ensures the work is performed in compliance with established standards, policies and procedures; conducts performance evaluations and recommends disciplinary action when necessary. Monitors the arrival and distribution of all donations ensuring that items reach the appropriate destination in a timely manner. Monitors the supply of items available in the warehouse to determine the area needing additional stock. Assists in loading and unloading trucks as needed; supervises that the warehouse area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner. Participates in the housekeeping duties; ensures that the warehouse area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.) Stand for extended periods of time. Ability to meet attendance requirement. Ability to read, write and communicate in the English Language. Work performed in a warehouse environment with physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Qualifications High School diploma or G.E.D. Three years of experience performing warehouse work with at least one year of supervisory capacity, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
