CNC Lathe Machinist

As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. This role involves programming machines, ensuring precision machining, and maintaining quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials, set up machinery, and configure tools for optimal operation.
• Program or load instructions into machines using G&M codes to determine cutting paths, speed, and feed rates.
• Utilize mills, lathes, and grinders to cut, turn, and shape parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Inspect finished products using precision tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and document production logs while maintaining a clean work area.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.
• Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Strong knowledge of G-code fundamentals and CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM.
• Ability to machine a wide range of materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, plastics, tool steels, and exotic alloys.
• Experience with manual machining using mills and lathes for custom or repair work.

This is a Contract position based out of Lincoln, NE.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
