Route Sales Representative

Costanzo's Bakery is currently seeking a new team member to be a part of a Buffalo Tradition. The Route Sales Team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with our customers. As a Route Sales Representative, you will play a key role in servicing established accounts and developing new business along a designated route. Responsibilities

• Deliver bakery products to customers’ places of business using a company vehicle.
• Service existing customers and actively seek out new sales opportunities along the assigned route.
• Collect payments from customers, and accurately record transactions through digital means.
• Solicit and confirm customer orders and follow specific delivery instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries on a daily basis.
• Prepare order forms and sales contracts as needed.
• Inform regular customers about new products or services.
• Address and resolve customer service issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Stock shelves or racks and set up promotional displays at customer locations.
• Collect empty containers or unsold merchandise as required.
• Obtain customer signatures for pickups or deliveries.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical function of the delivery vehicle in compliance with DOT and food safety regulations.
• Work a five-day schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with occasional overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to read and comprehend instructions and present information effectively to customers and team members.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve problems and handle routine customer service situations.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, crawl, talk, hear, and use hands for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a moderate noise environment.
