Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 17 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 12-Hour Shifts, 3×12

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for a 17-week travel contract. The ideal candidate will have strong current L&D experience, including C-section circulating , antepartum, postpartum, and recovery couplet care.

The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to labor, antepartum, and postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes and emergencies.
• Serve as the circulating RN for C-section procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and other obstetric procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to orders and facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide patient and family education, support, and guidance throughout the care process.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide care for recovery couplets as required.
• Float to Mother/Baby or other appropriate units based on operational needs.
• Follow patient-safety, infection-control, and hospital policies.
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Requirements

• Current, active RN license .
• Minimum 2 years of recent/current Labor & Delivery experience .
• C-section circulating experience required.
• Experience caring for:
  • Labor patients
  • Antepartum patients
  • Postpartum patients
  • Recovery couplets
• Current BLS certification .
• Current ACLS certification .
• Current Advanced NRP certification .
• Strong maternal/fetal assessment and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced L&D environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to float to Mother/Baby or other units as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must reside 100+ miles from the facility .
• Current driver’s license must be provided.
• Weekend rotation required.
• Holiday rotation required.
• Must be available to work night shifts throughout the contract.
