Position Overview Our client is seeking a Construction Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing construction organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in the construction industry who understands project accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, and the unique financial processes involved in construction. While the position includes oversight of construction accounts payable activities, the primary focus is on supporting the overall accounting function with significant opportunities for career advancement into accounting leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects. Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records. Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs. Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payment processes. Review and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs), lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation. Track paid-when-paid payment requirements. Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2–3+ years of accounting experience.
