Compassionate Healing & Psychotherapy Center (CHPC) is expanding our Illinois clinical team and seeking 1–2 compassionate, collaborative clinicians who are passionate about trauma-informed care and want to build a long-term professional home within a supportive multidisciplinary practice.

We welcome clinicians interested in hybrid work from our downtown Chicago office , as well as qualified candidates seeking a fully remote Illinois position

Our goal is simple: CHPC handles much of the business infrastructure so our clinicians can focus primarily on excellent clinical care, developing their expertise, and growing professionally.

COMPENSATION & CAREER GROWTH

CHPC uses progressive compensation so clinicians can move from caseload development into established salaried positions.

Master's-Level Clinicians:

Caseload-development compensation generally up to $50 per completed clinical hour , depending on license, experience, specialization, and role, with advancement into part-time and full-time salary tiers.

Licensed Clinical Psychologists / PhD / PsyD:

Caseload-development compensation of approximately $62–$65 per completed clinical hour , depending on specialization and experience, with progression into salaried psychologist roles.

Advanced psychologist opportunities may reach $90,000–$100,000+ depending on productivity, psychological assessments/evaluations, report preparation, supervision, specialty services, and leadership responsibilities.

The hourly stage is intended for caseload development — not as the long-term endpoint of the position.

CHPC serves individuals, couples, adolescents, university students, and families.

We frequently work with:

• Childhood relational and attachment trauma

• Complex PTSD and developmental trauma

• Adult survivors of childhood abuse or neglect

• Domestic violence and abusive relationships

• Narcissistic and antagonistic relationship dynamics

• Relationship and attachment concerns

• Adolescents from chaotic or high-conflict households

• Borderline Personality Disorder and complex presentations

• ADHD and neurodivergence

• Depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation

• LGBTQIA+ concerns

• Religious/spiritual trauma

• Racial and cultural trauma

• University and graduate student mental health

• First responder trauma and occupational stress

• Grief, identity concerns, and major life transitions

You do not need to specialize in every area. We want to know which populations and clinical concerns you feel most passionate about serving.

TRAUMA SPECIALIZATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We especially value clinicians with training, experience, or strong interest in:

• EMDR

• Internal Family Systems / parts work

• Somatic and body-based trauma interventions

• Attachment-focused and relational therapy

• Complex trauma and C-PTSD

• Domestic violence and relational abuse

• LGBTQIA+-affirming care

• Neurodiversity-affirming care

You do not need to arrive as an expert.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS ARE WELCOME

CHPC is a multidisciplinary practice and welcomes licensed psychologists interested in psychotherapy, psychological evaluations and assessments, or a combination of services.

We are particularly interested in psychologists who may want to help expand CHPC's psychological assessment and evaluation services

CHPC also collaborates with healthcare providers and other community professionals when appropriate to support coordinated and comprehensive client care.

CASELOAD DEVELOPMENT

CHPC invests in referral development, marketing, credentialing, billing, administration, clinician profiles, networking support, and professional visibility.

We believe in transparency: a specific number of referrals or caseload size cannot be guaranteed.

A sustainable caseload develops through specialization, availability, responsiveness to referrals, therapeutic fit, client retention, scheduling flexibility, and professional outreach.

CHPC provides the infrastructure and opportunities. We ask clinicians to bring excellent clinical care, reliability, professionalism, responsiveness, and active participation in their professional growth.

Caseload development is a shared partnership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's or doctoral degree in an appropriate behavioral health discipline

• Active Illinois license or credential appropriate to the position

• Understanding of diagnosis, treatment planning, and professional documentation

• Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed client care

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Willingness to participate in consultation and professional development

• Individual Professional Liability Insurance in addition to CHPC's organizational coverage

• Appropriate confidential workspace and technology for remote services

Foundational trauma training is strongly preferred for psychotherapy positions.
