Become part of a dynamic school environment as a Music Teacher for grades K-2, with a rewarding full-time, onsite position beginning August 17 and continuing through May 27, 2027. You’ll introduce young learners to the world of music, nurturing creativity and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated educator who will inspire students and craft engaging lessons tailored to early elementary grades.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing music curriculum for young students
• Skilled in communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt instruction for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach general music classes to kindergarten through second grade students
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district music standards
• Inspire a love for music through creative instruction, hands-on activities, and performances
• Assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback
• Collaborate with general education staff to integrate music learning campus-wide
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and occasional evening performances
