Nemours is seeking full‑time and part‑time Anesthesia Assistants (AAs) to join our Orlando, Florida team. New graduates and adult AAs are welcome to apply. We provide a supportive environment to help you grow and learn in pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized pre‑anesthetic assessment, obtain informed consent, and order pre‑anesthetic medications and fluids.
• Select and apply appropriate non‑invasive and invasive monitoring modalities during the perioperative period.
• Facilitate emergence and recovery, including medication, fluid, and ventilation support.
• Discharge patients from the post‑anesthesia care area and provide follow‑up evaluation and care.
• Respond to emergency situations with airway management and advanced cardiac life support.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists to monitor and evaluate quality of patient care; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Practice within regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, American Society of Anesthesia, ACHA).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Anesthesiology Assistant Program (ARC‑AA).
• Current Florida Anesthesiologist Assistant license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
