Registered Nurse (RN)

The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves providing high-quality care to patients in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and managing the health and well-being of high-risk infants, employing critical thinking skills and clinical expertise.

Position Details

• Schedule: Weeknights and weekends, 36 hours/week, three 12-hour shifts. Flex position; shifts predominantly nights.
• Contract Dates: Start on 11/02/2026 and end on 01/02/2027. No extensions available.
• Some holidays required, including Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or compact, if applicable to RI).
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• NRP certification required.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent NICU experience (Level II/III).
• Experience with ventilators and high-acuity neonates preferred.

Vaccination Requirements

• Flu vaccine required.
• COVID-19 vaccine required; no exemptions allowed.

Health and Safety Screening

• Candidates must provide evidence of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap.
• Annual TB screening is required.
• Fit testing for respiratory protection is necessary.
• A valid Driver's License or State ID is required.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates with no time-off requests will be given preference.
• Completion of CNE Skills Checklist and various competency exams will be required.
• Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background check and may be required to complete a confidentiality agreement.
