Food & Beverage Team Leader Hourly pay starts at $22.50 and can reach up to $38.25, depending on location, experience and certifications. For full details a team member may consult the Target benefits web page. Responsibilities Maintain a guest‑first environment by ensuring product freshness, accurate pricing and proper presentation. Lead and coach a team of hourly team members, establishing clear goals, training on store policies, and holding team members accountable. Plan day‑to‑day workloads, keeping inventory accurate and meeting department and store sales goals. Conduct daily Food & Beverage Standards walks on the sales floor and backroom areas and address observations in real time. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing guest, financial and team metrics, identifying opportunities, and celebrating wins. Deliver and enforce food safety and quality policies, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations. Manage vendor relationships and place store‑initiated orders to keep products in stock. Consequentially coordinate with store leadership on promotions, merchandise displays and special events. Support store operations through guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up and drive‑up. Demonstrate a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, reporting hazards, and responding to incidents. Maintain inclusivity, respect diversity and promote equitable experiences for all guests and teammates. Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty to protect the guest experience. Handle all other duties as directed by the business needs. Qualifications Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred retail and/or food experience; training and coaching skills are essential. Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business, including sales trends, food safety, inventory and promotion. Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capacity to manage workload and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds, navigate refrigeration, variance temperatures and use ladders when required. Availability for a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times. Knowledge of and compliance with federal, state and local alcohol laws when applicable. Completion, if applicable, of Food Safety Manager Certification and associated brand (Starbucks, Pizza Hut) training.
