Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:30 - 07:00).

Job Description

The RN position is situated within the Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool. The role requires the traveler to be flexible and float between med-surg units and intermediate care units, handling a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6. Candidates must possess recent Epic experience and a solid background in telemetry and IMC care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs, including acute respiratory distress and septic shock.
• Monitor vital signs and assess the condition of patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including cardiac and insulin drips.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document care using the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Comfortably float to all assigned units including MS, IMC, and surgery recovery units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• 2+ years of IMC experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Recent Epic experience is mandatory.
• Flu shot and a two-step PPD are required with no exceptions.
