Registered Nurse – Critical Care

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Weeks: 8
• Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• At least two years of recent acute care experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during Orientation required
• Certifications and skills specific to units such as IV Sedation, Neonatal Resuscitation, and PALS depending on assignment require completion within specified time frames

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients during a shift.
• Prescribe nursing care based on the nursing process consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating input from patients and their significant others.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care for individuals of all ages.
• Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs in the overall plan of care.
• Delegate certain aspects of patient care delivery to nursing staff based on their clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
