Budback Floating Associate

Reports to: GM, MODs, and Supervisors Role Type: On-site, operational support + fulfillment execution Role Summary • The Budback is the operational backbone of the sales floor. This role ensures products are stocked, prepared, organized, cleaned, and delivered to the floor quickly and accurately so the customer experience remains smooth, fast, and premium at all times. The Budback supports fulfillment speed, inventory flow, restocking, cleanliness, guest support, and floor readiness while maintaining strict compliance and product accuracy standards. This role is critical during high-volume periods and directly impacts transaction speed, attachment opportunities, overall store efficiency, customer flow, and store presentation standards. The Budback must operate with urgency, organization, hospitality, cleanliness, and attention to detail without sacrificing accuracy. Core Responsibilities and Exact Duties

• 1) Guest Greeting + Check-In Support
• Welcome guests quickly, professionally, and warmly upon entry.
• Support guest check-in flow and ID verification procedures as assigned by leadership.
• Help maintain organized customer flow during peak traffic periods.
• Assist with wait time communication and customer direction to Budtenders or Consultants.
• Support loyalty signups, guest routing, and first-time guest support when needed.
• Maintain a professional, hospitality-driven first impression at all times.

2) Floor Restocking + Product Readiness

• Maintain full product stock levels across all sales floor displays and storage areas.
• Restock products quickly and accurately throughout the shift based on sales velocity.
• Ensure all featured products, promos, and add-ons are available and floor-ready.
• Communicate low-stock risks immediately to Inventory Manager and leadership.
• Ensure accessories and impulse products remain stocked to support attachment rate goals.

3) Order Fulfillment + Product Pulling

• Pull products accurately for Budtenders and Consultants during customer transactions.
• Verify SKU, quantity, pricing tier, and product type before handoff.
• Support rapid fulfillment during peak traffic periods without creating bottlenecks.
• Maintain organized staging systems for pending transactions and high-volume periods.
• Assist with online order preparation where applicable.

4) Inventory Flow + Back-of-House Organization

• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant BOH product storage areas.
• Follow FIFO rotation and product handling standards at all times.

• Support Inventory Manager with:

• Cycle counts
• Product organization
• Receiving support
• Inventory transfers
• Restocking workflows
• Maintain accurate labeling and storage standards.

5) Cleaning + Store Standards

• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout BOH and assigned FOH support areas.
• Ensure workstations, fulfillment stations, storage areas, and product areas remain clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Assist with daily cleaning tasks, trash removal, sanitization, and operational upkeep.
• Support opening and closing cleaning checklists.
• Help maintain a premium store appearance and operational readiness at all times.

6) Operational Speed + Floor Support

• Respond quickly to floor requests from Budtenders, Consultants, Supervisors, and leadership.
• Help reduce wait times by ensuring products are delivered efficiently.
• Support floor resets, merchandising updates, and promo transitions.
• Assist with opening and closing operational tasks.
• Escalate inventory discrepancies or product concerns immediately.

7) Compliance + Accuracy Standards

• Maintain strict compliance with all product handling procedures.
• Ensure restricted product areas remain secure and organized.
• Follow all SOPs related to inventory movement and product transfers.
• Maintain transaction accuracy and prevent fulfillment errors.
• Support audit readiness through disciplined organization and documentation.

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a passive "stock runner."
• Not responsible for inventory purchasing decisions.
• Not a primary Budtender sales role, though supports sales performance operationally.
• Not a warehouse-only role; directly impacts customer experience speed, cleanliness, hospitality, and operational flow.

Weekly Operating Rhythm

• Daily: guest support, restocking, fulfillment support, BOH organization, cleaning, and floor readiness checks.
• Weekly: inventory organization reset and product flow review with Inventory Manager.
• Weekly: promo/product transition setup support.
• Daily: opening and closing cleaning responsibilities.
