Intellectual Property Litigation Analyst - Associate

Role Description: The Intellectual Property Litigation Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This position is an Associate level, meaning the candidate has at least 2 years of financial analyst experience. This role supports litigation engagements involving trademarks, copyrights, brands, and defamation. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing case materials, financial data, and market information;
conducting legal and industry research;
and helping develop damages models and expert reports. The analyst will help prepare clear, evidence-based analyses and exhibits for expert reports, presentations, and testimony. Collaboration with consultants, attorneys, and clients is essential, as is documenting findings, maintaining organized workpapers, and contributing to the refinement of methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and attention to detail.
• Candidates should have strong writing skills.
• Candidates should have at least two years of consulting experience.
• Candidates should have strong communication skills, including clear written reporting, concise presentation of findings, and professional interaction with clients and legal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field;
  advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.G., CFA, CPA, CLP) are beneficial.
• Experience or coursework in valuation, damages analysis, or forensic accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools;
  comfort working with legal documents, financial statements, and market research sources.
• Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA;
  manage multiple projects;
  meet deadlines;
  and collaborate in a small, specialized team environment.
