With customers' mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.Job Code: 40935Job Location: Waco, TXJob Schedule: 9/80 RegJob Description: Work as part of a development team in the Systems Engineering department which includes support of requirement development, design and architecture generation, test, integration, and certification of complex systems installed on airborne platforms.Essential Functions:Design and develop physical architectures incorporating mission system equipment into airborne systems for military and commercial customers.Translate customer and airworthiness requirements into unique verifiable system level requirementsLead Program Integrated Product Teams of cross-disciplined engineers with internal and external membersBecome a focal point for conversation with the customer on technical issuesDefine requirement traceability methodsPerform the systems engineering trade study processEvaluate trade studies for accuracy and completenessWrite subsystem specifications based on system level requirementsEvaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designPrepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionalsAbility to use standard Microsoft Office suite of applicationsAbility to operate within a Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM); TeamCenter preferredQualifications:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 4 years related work experience, orGraduate Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, orMinimum of 8 years of prior work experience in a directly applicable field.Preferred Additional Skills:A Secret ClearanceExperience with integrating digital communications on commercial / military aircraftAn active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirablePrior experience integrating mission systems on airborne platforms.DOORS experienceDigital Databus Standards (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553) experienceExperience conducting first article verification testingExcellent written, oral, and presentation communication skillsExperience working with subcontractors and US Government customers.Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead teams through a system development and integration cycle.L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
