About the Role: As a Leasing Professional in the real estate and rental industry, you will play a pivotal role in connecting prospective tenants with available rental properties, ensuring a seamless leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing. Your primary objective is to maximize occupancy rates by effectively marketing properties, conducting property tours, and addressing tenant questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity. You will collaborate closely with property management teams to maintain accurate leasing documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse tenant populations. Proficiency with property management software and standard office applications. Preferred Qualifications: Certification such as Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) or similar industry credential. Experience working with residential or commercial leasing in a multi-unit property environment. Familiarity with Fair Housing Act regulations and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns for rental properties. Bilingual abilities or additional language skills to serve a broader tenant base. Responsibilities: Conduct property tours and present available units to prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits. Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing detailed information about leasing terms and property amenities. Process rental applications, perform background and credit checks, and verify applicant information in accordance with company policies. Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal standards. Maintain up-to-date records of leasing activity, tenant communications, and occupancy status using property management software. Collaborate with maintenance and management teams to coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and resolve tenant issues efficiently. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract qualified tenants and reduce vacancy periods. Stay informed about local rental market trends, fair housing laws, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance to tenants and management.
