About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President for its Transactional Risk division, with a focus on Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI). The successful candidate will be a key strategic player in the underwriting process, responsible for quote development, policy negotiation, and execution. This role demands a high level of commercial acumen, ambition, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. The SVP will be expected to lead the underwriting of RWI policies in M&A transactions, working closely with brokers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored insurance solutions. Key responsibilities include managing the evaluation of submissions, preparing customized term sheets, and ensuring the timely delivery of quotes to brokers. The role also involves supervising and mentoring junior team members, providing training, and maintaining strong relationships with key brokers to support business development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 8-15 years of M&A or relevant underwriting experience, and a background in legal practice, M&A-related roles in finance, or insurance with exposure to financial transactions. Professional certifications such as CPCU, AU, or similar designations are preferred, along with in-depth knowledge of technical underwriting principles, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage and build broker and client relationships.
