Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Hadoop Admin (Chicago) to join their team. As a Hadoop Admin (Chicago), you will be part of the Data Platform Support team supporting enterprise-wide data solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Hadoop Admin (Chicago) Location: Chicago, IL Pay Range: $65-70/hr. on W2 What's the Job? Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including build, maintenance, and end-to-end support. Automate platform operations and ensure optimal performance through patching and troubleshooting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams related to markets and banking to support user platforms. Oversee platform upgrades, incident management, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Serve as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver effective solutions. What's Needed? Minimum of 6 years of experience in Hadoop administration and cluster management. Hands-on experience with vendor-based Hadoop platforms such as Cloudera, DataRobot, or similar products. Proficiency in patching, automation, and troubleshooting within Hadoop environments. Strong knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, YARN, and related components. Experience with Unix/Linux, scripting languages, and automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and SVN. What's in it for me?
