In this exciting leadership role, you will partner with the Pastry Chef to oversee daily pastry operations, mentor a talented team, and create exceptional desserts, breads, and specialty pastries. Combining creativity, precision, and culinary expertise, you will help ensure every item meets the highest standards of quality and presentation while contributing to unforgettable guest experiences. Your leadership and passion for excellence will play a key role in creating memorable moments that keep guests coming back. **THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area* Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service* Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation* Maintain production knowledge and attention to detail with decoration and taste quality* Assist Pastry Chef, other Assistant Pastry Chefs, bakers, and helpers as needed in execution of production* Conduct training for bakers and helpers on job responsibilities* Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees* Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling food and labor cost, and establish goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people* Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Must be at least 21 years of age* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required* 2+ years of pastry experience required* Experience with lamination techniques, including items such as croissants, Danish pastries, and other laminated doughs preferred* Experience producing high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty baked goods in a fast-paced environment* Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays required**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:** you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**?
