Position Overview

Swift Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our innovative Orthopedic Outpatient Unit located in Sanford, Florida. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate comprehensive evaluations of patients, including a thorough review of medical history, specific assessments, and formulation of treatment recommendations based on evaluation findings.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the medical necessities of the patients, continually adapting protocols to reflect patient progress and changing needs.

• Document patient care activities meticulously, ensuring compliance with the evolving healthcare regulations and standards, by maintaining accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries.

• Engage proactively with other healthcare professionals, referring cases as necessary and adjusting treatment plans based on the collective insights of the interdisciplinary team.

• Participate in developing discharge plans and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity of care and patient safety post-treatment.

• Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, and third-party payors, delivering empathetic and understandable explanations of the care process and treatment rationale.

• Attend facility meetings and contribute to discussions on clinical practices, patient care strategies, and organizational goals as directed by management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will employ specialized techniques to assess and treat a diverse range of patient needs, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care aimed at maximizing their physical function and independence. Your role is pivotal in restoring mobility and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.

• A valid state license to practice physical therapy is essential.

• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in patient evaluation and treatment planning.

• Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical documentation tools is advantageous.
