Certerra has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Inspector in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Duties/Responsibilities: Field and laboratory testing of pressure treated construction materials. Take lead in high profile projects. Maintaining required certifications Coordinating with clients and Certerra engineering and state professionals. Travel to client facilities as needed Report writing and computer skills Provides clear documentation of findings and results. Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager. Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager. Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks. Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration. Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. Education/Qualifications: A High School diploma or equivalent A valid driver’s license A strong safety focus and attention to detail Excellent plan reading skills A demonstrated math and technical aptitude Flexibility to work extended or non-traditional hours as needed Excellent Verbal and written communication skills State DOT certifications, and/or NICET certifications ASCE, PTI, and/or NCCER Certifications ICC Concrete and Soils Certifications Minimum of 5 years of construction materials testing experience Ability to work all hours and shifts as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking as needed during safety inspections and training sessions.
