Human Resources Benefits Coordinator

Comprehensive Management, Inc. (CMI) is a small private for-profit management and consulting firm focused on improving performance and productivity while maintaining high quality standards for our not-for-profit client. Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, and wellness benefits. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self‑enrollment system. Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits enrollment, changes and terminations are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction. Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims. Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs; resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Reconcile benefits statements. Administer FMLA, including documentation, tracking and assisting employees. Administer COBRA, including paperwork for terminated employees, maintaining COBRA spreadsheet; send payments received to Payroll Manager. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexible start/end time) Start Date: ASAP Work Location: 310 W. Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour; based on experience Comprehensive Management, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment (including THC and/or CBD). DCFS clearance required. Experience and Skills: Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred. One year of benefits administration required. Experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education. Must have good computer and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and maintain confidentiality. Must be well organized, have attention to detail, able to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure. Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
