About The Job This position requires creating and managing standalone Oracle databases proficiently. Also, this position requires the ability to identify and triage issues, perform server maintenance, execute software installations and patching, maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. Need to have the ability to work independently, collaborate within and across division teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management. Job Requirements Provisioning &Config: Defines standards & golden configs Backup/Restore: Governs strategy & drills Patching: Sets cadence & risk controls Performance Tuning: Internals/optimizer/storage tuning High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR): Architects multi-region DR Monitoring & Alerting: Define SLOs & unified taxonomy Security & Compliance: Owns policy & audits Scripting & Automation: Standards & governance Incident Management: Incident command & prevention Required Skills U.S Citizenship Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Oracle. Professional Oracle certifications required Experience in: MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN and MS Access. This opportunity is in Washington, DC.
