Litigation Support Specialist

Litigation Support Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time, Mid-Level Department: Litigation Support As a Litigation Support Specialist, you will provide direct assistance to USAO personnel, AUSAs, legal assistants, administrative staff, and other USAO staff. You will deliver technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation options, perform system analysis and development, and support case preparation and trial presentation. Skills and Attributes for Success Provide technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation options, systems capabilities, and support services available to aid in case preparation, trial preparation and trial presentation. Perform a wide range of information system analysis, development, and installation to support USAO DMN litigation support activities for assigned cases. Provide litigation support services, including trial preparation and presentation, responding to customer needs directly or with the Litigation Support Manager. Define and create case databases for processing electronically stored information (ESI), case review, production, organization, and trial presentation. Organize voluminous case information for efficient retrieval through automated means such as processing ESI in common litigation applications (e.g., LAW, Pre-discovery, or Nuix). Ensure documents are organized for efficient electronic storage and retrieval by processing ESI, defining deduplication scope, quality control, preparing appropriate indices, and indexing databases in common litigation applications such as Eclipse or Relativity. Qualifications Knowledge of the legal process and familiarity with both civil and criminal law at the federal and local levels, including discovery obligations and meet‑and‑confer procedures. Ability to communicate with attorneys, understand legal and factual issues, and recommend options for managing and presenting data. Must be a United States citizen. Ability to work in an office full‑time, 5 days a week. Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
