Peckham Inc. - Vocational Services Coordinator

This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vocational Services Coordinator position provides leadership to the Business Services Team in delivering human services programs to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. This position coordinates vocational rehabilitation programs supervises vocational service staff and has a small caseload of clients.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provide leadership and supervision for all human service program operations in Peckham’s Business Services

  • Provide support and supervision for Business service staff via coaching, training, goal setting, encouragement, information/resources, and feedback

  • Work collaboratively with the Business Services Management in providing quality employment services to persons served while meeting business needs

  • Provide clinical consultation to staff for the purpose of effective service plan development, progress tracking, and achievement of desirable outcomes

  • Supervise maintenance of case file records, program evaluation information, and quality documents in accordance with both Peckham and CARF standards

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Act as the lead in providing direct vocational evaluation, situational assessment and work adjustment training services to referred participants as needed

  • Provide person-centered case management services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment

  • Assist program participants in developing an individualized program plan in consideration of their vocational goals, strengths, interests, functional limitations, and potential utilization of assistive technology and other job accommodations.

  • Process initial intake documents; maintain electronic case files for program participants

  • Deliver one-on-one counseling, coaching and/or training with program participants when needed and/or requested.

  • Provide human resources support to program participants, including new hire orientation, FMLA management, and support with corrective action as needed.

  • Analyze client, community and referral source needs through survey results, town hall meetings, direct feedback and demographic studies, etc. to improve and develop quality services in order to meet expressed needs

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, families and other stakeholders

  • Make continuous improvement efforts in program design, service delivery, and customer service in order to meet the changing needs of stakeholders-

  • Utilize a team approach to provide support and resource to the entire Apparel Manufacturing staff in advancing Peckham’s mission

  • Facilitate effective communication and interactions between services and operations teams as well as and Peckham headquarters

  • Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention for participants as needed

  • Promote Peckham’s vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer services to all team members, staff, customers and stakeholders.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-3 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment in vocational, workforce development, human services, or case management settings.

  • or 4-6 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment in vocational, workforce development, human services, or case management settings.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

  • 1-2 years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others

  • Knowledge of program compliance requirements, including experience supporting documentation, audits, or reporting aligned with regulatory or accreditation standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree (M.A.) in Rehabilitation Counseling

  • Prefer L.P.C. – Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. CPR and First Aid certification (may be obtained after hire)
