Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Acute Leukemia & Hematology – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or combination based on unit needs). Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period. Weekend coverage variable based on unit needs.

Highlights:

• Specialized care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in a 24-bed medical unit
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may extend to 1:5)
• High acuity environment with frequent blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• Epic EMR with GE telemetry monitoring system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• 72-hour orientation provided; float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed
• Chemo certification NOT required for this position

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Current and consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/PICC line management
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers subject to client review
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
