Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews with clients, assessing their mental, emotional, and behavioral health from the first consultation to the end of treatment.

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote recovery and personal growth.
\n
• Monitoring client progress throughout their therapy, regularly adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs.
\n
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Following up on clients referred to hospital care, ensuring continuity of treatment while in acute care settings.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to client recovery and working proactively to address these challenges.
\n
• Providing support and education to family members and primary caregivers on how to manage mental health and behavioral challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families coping with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Our clients come from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, which enriches the therapeutic environment and the learning experience for counselors. Your ability to connect with clients and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship will be essential to their success.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• At least two years of professional experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Understood addiction disorders and how they interact with underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal forms, with a strong ability to empathically connect with clients.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in outpatient settings, familiarity with the local mental health care landscape, and a network of professional relationships within the healthcare community. Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and managing complex cases will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
