Training Specialist

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Training Specialist responsible for developing and delivering curricula and instructional programs focused on child welfare and human services. The role involves managing a rigorous training schedule, facilitating in-person and online education, and engaging in curriculum development and community collaboration across North Carolina. Highlights Deliver training to child welfare workforce in all 100 county DSS offices across North Carolina. Develop and deliver curricula for in-person, classroom, and online training environments. Facilitate continuing education courses ranging from 1 to 4 days, requiring overnight travel up to 4 nights. Engage in team-based course development integrating adult learning principles and best practices. Support projects involving facilitation, writing, technical assistance, and implementation support with community organizations. Required to have demonstrated experience in both in-person and online training, curriculum development, and writing. Must be able to travel regularly with overnight stays and work autonomously under broad direction. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s in Social Work or related field, familiarity with child welfare systems in North Carolina, and experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Articulate Storyline. Position is full-time, permanent, remote with a hiring range of $68,000 to $72,100 annually.
