Resident Automation Technician II (M/F/D)*

Kansas City, KS The Resident Automation Technician II supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site’s performance through trouble‑shooting and hands‑on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained. This is an on‑site position for our customer in Kansas City, KS. Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 4:00am What You’ll Be Handling Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible. Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned. Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Lead maintenance efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge. Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations. Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned. What You’ll Need Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred. Experience: Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, or related environments. Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience. Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics. Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
