Production ManagerLocation: Madera, CA, US, 93637Job ID: 61802Role DescriptionThe Production Manager is responsible for directing forming, mold repair, and machine repair departments to obtain optimum performances in safety, quality, and performance efficiencies at the lowest operating cost.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the manufacturing of glass containers are within customer specifications and quality standardsSelect and develop employees to adequately staff the forming department which includes salary administration, effective employee and union relations, developmental and training opportunities, and succession planningManage departmental budgets including time, labor, and spending costsEstablish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment always striving for zero accidentsMonitor department performances and report on negative impacted areas while developing and implementing continuous improvementComply with environmental and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies within the departmentMinimum Skills / QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTwelve (12) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process and management experiencePrior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changesExcellent communication skillsProficient organizational, analytical, and planning skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk work environmentAbility to work outside of regular work hoursAbility to prioritize work and have a sense of urgencyAbility to travel up to 5%Preferred Skills / QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related disciplineFifteen (15) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process and management experiencePrior experience with the plant's forming process (i.e. press, blow-and-blow, etc.)CompensationThe anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $110,900 and $166,300 per year upon hire. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. This role is eligible to participate in the annual Ardagh Incentive Bonus (AIB) plan.
