What You'll Do

• Provide patient care for antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients
• Circulate during C-sections and manage outpatient triage
• Administer Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Cytotec, and other medications
• Support postpartum hemorrhage management, including blood administration and Jada device use
• Collaborate with charge nurse and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity Perinatal systems
• Assist with patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal status, and provide education

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• 1+ year of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, and FHM certifications
• Strong skills in obstetric care, magnesium sulfate therapy, and postpartum management

Preferred:

• Experience with EMR systems (Meditech Expanse, GE Centricity)
• Ability to work rotating weekends and call shifts
• Adaptability in a family-like, team-oriented environment

About the Assignment This role is with a renowned hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, featuring a Level 3 NICU and Birth Ready designation. You will be part of a compassionate team delivering high-quality perinatal care in a family-focused environment. The unit is staffed with experienced nurses and provides support for labor, delivery, postpartum, and triage services. Orientation includes hospital training and two unit shifts to help you settle in comfortably.
