Our portfolio spans some of the most recognized brands in the world, and our ambition is to continue growing our consumer base, increasing frequency, and delivering sustainable value across the system. The Senior Director, Category Strategy – Tea plays a critical role in shaping the future of our tea portfolio by defining clear, differentiated territories that drive growth, relevance, and margin expansion for our Tea category. This role sits at the intersection of global strategy, consumer insight, innovation, and market level execution, translating long‑term category ambition into impactful business results. We are looking for a strategic marketing leader with deep consumer packaged goods experience, with a passion for stewarding categories globally yet building local relevance for our businesses. The ideal candidate brings a growth mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to inspire teams and partners to deliver exceptional brand performance in the TCCC network. What You’ll Do for Us Lead the development and stewardship of the category strategy for TCCC’s tea business, driving value, volume, share, profit, and long‑term category growth by clearly defining where to play and how to win and ensuring alignment with system priorities. Act as the category champion across the organization, with full accountability for end to end performance tracking for the category, setting guardrails and governance for the category. Collaborate with Human Insight, Strategy, commercial, IMX and innovations teams to uncover deep consumer, cultural and commercial insights that inform category strategy, innovation, and channel activation opportunities. Lead learning agendas including business planning on Tea category working closely with the network of category leaders in the OUs and the markets, including understanding/tracking industry wide developments and continuous optimization of our initiatives based on new insights. Articulate and influence long‑term innovation roadmaps, new business models, and strategic partnership opportunities to win this space. Requirements & Qualifications Master’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. 10+ years of brand or marketing experience within consumer packaged goods, with global scope and direct accountability for global or multi‑region initiatives. Experience managing complex category portfolios and balancing short‑term performance with long‑term equity building. Proven ability to translate marketing objectives into integrated strategies and plans across multiple consumer touchpoints, including point‑of‑purchase. Strong consumer and cultural insight capability, with experience leveraging data, analytics, and research to inform strategy and measure effectiveness. Financial acumen, including experience applying return on investment, value chain analysis, and portfolio management principles to marketing decisions. Track record of successfully launching new products from concept through commercialization and in‑market performance. Excellent storytelling and persuasive communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders. Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and inspiring high‑performing marketing teams. Digital, data, and artificial intelligence fluency relevant to modern brand building, including media, personalization, and performance optimization. Comfort operating in ambiguity, navigating matrixed organizations, and collaborating across cultures and geographies. What We’ll Do for You Offer the opportunity to shape the future of a global tea portfolio within one of the world’s most respected and influential brand organizations. Provide exposure to world‑class global marketing leaders, insights, and platforms that expand your network and accelerate your professional growth. Enable you to work within a highly creative, collaborative culture that values curiosity, experimentation, and bold thinking. Support your development as a strategic brand leader through meaningful work, leadership visibility, and continuous learning opportunities. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form (Form I-9) upon hire.Skills:Brand Strategy, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Cultural Insights, Customer Insights, Digital Fluency, Global Marketing Strategy, Market Innovation, People Leadership, Portfolio ManagementPay Range:United States of America: 218,000 USD - 247,200 USDBase pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
