Director, Strategic Sourcing

Job Responsibilities Lead the team through strategic planning and development of a global sourcing platform to deliver high-quality products with a costing structure that drives positive margin growth. Act as the key link between internal and external stakeholders—including Merchandising, Planning / Allocation, IT, Finance, Vendors, Legal and Supply Chain. Utilize change-management skills to introduce new initiatives, influence teams, and implement processes. Manage teams and stakeholders on the overall sourcing strategy and calendar, ensuring each sourcing milestone is met on schedule. Negotiate costs and ensure quality production, on-time shipments, and overall execution for assigned product categories. Leverage business acumen, market intelligence, and insight to generate broad strategic impact across the business. Assess and adapt to a dynamic business environment. Reinforce supplier-management processes to ensure on-time ordering, cost minimization, performance tracking, and issue resolution. Serve as the subject-matter expert on all facets of direct importing strategy. Champion and demonstrate a commitment to Kirkland's values.
