Taibbi Equipment Corp is a trucking company located in Wakefield, MA for over 30 years. We are Looking for a mechanic/shop help for full time work assisting in the maintenance of dump trucks, trailers and sweepers. Would be performing repairs on heavy truck, trailers, and sweepers but not limited to the following:
- Evaluate equipment for needed repairs. Troubleshoot and isolate mechanical problems; implement corrective actions as appropriate
- Electrical, Brake, Cooling systems, starters, alternators, transmissions, etc.
- ·Performs repair or preventative maintenance on electrical, heavy equipment trailers and sweepers
- Must be able to diagnose and repair problems related to steering systems, hydraulic components, engines etc.
- Weld and/or fabricate necessary parts for repair of equipment is a plus
- Ensures proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed
- Ensures that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, timely and cost-efficient manner
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and ensures the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection
Also we are a Commercial State Inspection Station and candidate would be willing to become a licensed inspector at our expense
Drivers license required, CDL license a plus
Job is Monday – Friday 7AM - 3:30PM with possible overtime - Excellent pay based on experience

Requirements
- 2+ years mechanic experience
- Experience with heavy duty trucks and construction equipment
- Must have own tools
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred)
