Senior Process Engineer, Reaction Chemistry and Lab-to-Production Scale-Up of First-to-Market Electronic Materials

You will be the technical owner who takes new chemical processes from lab and pilot scale into full commercial manufacturing, for materials that are genuinely first to market and go into advanced electronics, semiconductors, EVs, and the AI and data-center buildout. You will lead the design, the P&IDs, and the troubleshooting that turn a promising reaction into a production line that actually runs, and partner across global engineering, R&D, operations, and quality to land each technology transfer. It is a senior, hands-on seat with real ownership and a clear path to mentor the engineers coming up behind you.

• Lead the design and scale-up of chemical processes across lab, pilot, and manufacturing.

• Develop and own the P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), and drive pilot studies, process validation, and troubleshooting.

• Solve the hard problems: reaction-chemistry issues and complex process upsets, with rigorous root cause analysis.

• Optimize processes for yield, quality, efficiency, and cost.

• Use process modeling, simulation, and data analysis to evaluate and improve performance.

• Partner across global engineering, R&D, operations, and quality to transfer new technology into production and commercialize it.

• Support capital projects, keep safety and compliance front and center, and mentor junior engineers.

• You have actually run and scaled reactions in real reactors and vessels, not just modeled them.

• You can build a P&ID from a blank sheet and defend every line on it.

• You are comfortable around industrial chemistry: flammable solvents and corrosives, ideally in a process-safety-managed (PSM) environment.

• You like leading the technical call, moving fast, and taking a process from new and messy to stable and scaled.

• This is not for you if you want a mature process with every parameter already dialed in, or you would rather not work hands-on around industrial chemicals.

• BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required; MS preferred.

• 7+ years in chemical process development, scale-up, or manufacturing (3+ with an MS).

• Demonstrated reaction-chemistry depth and complex process troubleshooting.

• Strong hands-on P&ID development and interpretation (required).

• PE (professional engineer) license preferred, or the willingness to earn one.

• Strongest backgrounds: fine and specialty chemicals, pharma or API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) manufacturing, coatings, inks, adhesives and resins, or battery materials.
