Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching credential in special education, with authorization to teach in elementary grades.
• Prior experience working with elementary-age students in a life skills or self-contained special education setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for effective classroom management and collaboration with fellow educators and support staff.
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instructional plans that support students’ academic, functional, and behavioral goals in alignment with their IEPs.
• Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and builds independent living skills.
• Regularly assess and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, related service providers, and families, participating in IEP meetings to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and challenges.
