Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification to teach Special Education (SPED) in the state required by the assignment
• Prior experience with special education, particularly in Life Skills or similar programs, preferred
• Ability to develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with teams, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom culture
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet student and school needs

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a self-contained elementary Life Skills classroom in an onsite setting
• Design and adapt curriculum, lesson plans, and materials tailored to each student’s needs and abilities
• Deliver differentiated instruction while maintaining a safe, encouraging learning environment
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and administrators to support student goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records in accordance with special education guidelines
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to encourage progress and engagement
