Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working in Life Skills or adaptive educational programs strongly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Creative problem-solving and individualized instruction abilities
• Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance standards

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction to elementary Life Skills students
• Adapt curriculum and materials to address diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Develop and implement IEP goals, documenting student progress
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and strategies
