Senior Accountant

Mackie Myers is partnering with a growing consumer business looking to hire a Senior Accountant into its US finance team. This is a high-impact role with strong ownership across inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and indirect tax compliance, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of accounting and operations. The position will suit an accountant who is comfortable in a product-based environment and has strong experience across inventory, costing, reconciliations, and month-end close. Key responsibilities include: Ownership of key areas of inventory and cost accounting Supporting inventory reconciliations, costing, valuation, reserves, and adjustments Analysing COGS and gross margin performance Preparing month-end journal entries across inventory and related accounts Partnering with operational teams on inventory movements and controls Supporting sales and use tax compliance and related filings Assisting with audits, documentation, and external provider coordination Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and process efficiency We are looking for: 4–7+ years of accounting experience Strong inventory and cost accounting experience Experience in consumer goods or another inventory-led environment preferred ERP systems experience and confidence working with inventory modules A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with strong technical accounting fundamentals #J-18808-Ljbffr
