Payroll Specialist
Summary: The Payroll Specialist position will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll for all of our Bargaining employees. In addition, this position will act as a customer service agent to internal employees, approaching both management and non-management positions with the highest level of communication to assist with payroll inquiries and document requests.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Collaborating closely with payroll specialist team to ensure timely updates
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with KeyStyle software.
- Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks.
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
- Process manual check and/or request for stop payment.
- Load import files received from other departments as it pertains to payroll (All Companies).
- Research and respond to appropriate persons regarding items in need of correcting.
- Weekly running, review and disbursement of Certified Payroll.
- Monthly processing of MER reports and Market Recovery reporting.
- Monthly processing of OCIP reporting.
- Weekly processing of Intents and Affidavits for L&I.
- Weekly processing of employment claims.
- Weekly processing of New Hire packets.
