Key Responsibilities of Assistant Accountant:
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including high-volume vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
- Track project costs and assist with job cost reporting using accounting systems
- Record and maintain financial data related to construction projects and contracts
- Support compliance efforts including insurance documentation and audit preparation
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records
5Qualifications of Assistant Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience or exposure to accounting functions such as AP/AR or financial recordkeeping
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail with the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
