Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement is required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially in a school-based setting, is preferred
- Solid understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and best practices for differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education services in a resource room to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Partner with general education staff to ensure students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs are met
- Monitor, track, and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
Position Details:
- Contract covering the 2026–2027 school year (August 18, 2026–May 27, 2027)
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday
- 32.5–35 hours per week
- Middle school resource setting
