Posted on August 3, 2026 The Watson Institute’s Behavioral Health Services program is hiring a casual Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Intensive Behavioral Health Service (IBHS) program. Location: Wexford, PA 2605 Nicholson Road, Suite 3240, Bldg. 3 | Sewickley, PA Casual BHT Job Responsibilities Implement treatment plan objectives by working directly with children who have autism and related disorders in the IBHS program Provide direct one-on-one therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Behavior Consultant Work with families to assist them in acquiring skills and enabling them to maximize their child’s progress and independence Communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s progress and issues Provide services in the child’s home and/or community-based settings Supervise the child and maintain safety of the child while working in community-based settings Assist children in developing social skills and facilitate development of peer interactions Attend regular required supervision meetings, individual supervisory sessions, and required trainings Assist in implementing behavior management plans to enable the child’s participation in community-based settings Implement ABA intervention techniques Maintain therapeutic records and data necessary to monitor progress Complete daily progress notes Turn in progress notes and paperwork into the office on time per department policy Other duties as requested Casual BHT Job Requirements One of the following educational/experience qualifications is required: Have a certification as a BCaBA Have a certification as an RBT Have a certification as an BCAT Have a behavioral health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services Ability to complete necessary training successfully The ability to keep up with running children and/or to lift, position, or assist with lifting students is essential to perform this task The essential functions of this job described herein require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, crouching and brisk walking, which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects and material of moderate weight (40 pounds) Current Acts 34, 114, and 151 clearances required Availability to work a flexible work schedule, which may include evening and weekend hours #J-18808-Ljbffr the Watson Institute
