The Estimating Manager is responsible for leading the overall management of the bid process for a project. The role is responsible for understanding the deliverables, developing a work plan, and identifying resources required, while coordinating with internal teams to ensure compliance with the Request for Proposals (RFP).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• At least five (5) years' experience in estimating for commercial construction
• Experience leading bids and trade coordination
• Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality, constructability and sustainability standards
• Leadership level communication and organization skills

Technical Job Knowledge:

• Leads bid/GMP assembly with minimal guidance; manages all bid day activities including compiling all deliverables and submitting responses
• Prepares detailed estimates at all phases of design; proficient in divisions 3 – 16 (including division 2 for Base Building)
• Manages all bid day activities including compiling all deliverables and submitting responses
• Leads and coordinates scope writing and qualification development; manages and coordinates divisions 2, 15, 16
• Leads constructability reviews; leads the development of specific systems analyses and creation of Value Engineering and Alternates lists/logs
• Assists with strategy development for GMP's and competitive bids
• Participates in project meetings and client presentations; attends pre-bid meetings and lead trade partner walk-throughs; leads bid presentations
• Owns responsibility for overall for trade partners/supplier coverage and effective communication and management; identifies and aligns the most qualified trade partners for the market sector and scope
• Manages the overall document distribution process (RFI's, Addenda, etc.)
• Counsels, educates and coaches staff to help them develop necessary job skills
• Builds relationships with trade partners/suppliers, clients and design teams

The base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $105,000.00 - $135,000.00
