Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and therapeutic observations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that address immediate goals as well as long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing concerns.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on areas such as communication clarity, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionality.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to forge integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress achieved outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout a patient's healing journey.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation consistent with the highest state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field through continuous education and collaborative engagement with peers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
