Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, explaining each phase with clarity and compassion
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic health system
• Stay informed with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Robust technical competency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
