Procurement Coordinator

Assists with the coordination of procurement activities for the Facilities Development and Operations Department, ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies/procedures relating to County procurement associated to contractual/financial responsibilities for departmental acquisitions. Develops, maintains, and enforces procedures/guidelines for the acquisition of goods and services. Conducts solicitation processes; reviews quotes received; assesses vendor responsiveness and responsibility, and issues awards based on established criteria. Monitors contractual agreements. Processes requisitions such as purchase orders, requests for funds, etc. Participates in budget preparation activities and produces reports as required for management decision-making. Liaises extensively with Finance, stakeholders within and outside of the Department, and vendors. Will supervise procurement and clerical staff. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level superior and is reviewed through performance evaluation (Trakstar), reports, and observation of results achieved.


QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance with courses in Data Processing OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with courses in Accounting or related field; minimum of three (3) years of experience in the preparation and monitoring of contracts and procurement for a large-scale organization in a similar capacity,

• An unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of four (4) years of experience in the preparation and monitoring of contracts and procurement for a large-scale organization in a similar capacity,

• An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance with courses in Data Processing OR an Associate's Degree in Computer Science with courses in Accounting or related field; minimum of five (5) years of experience in the preparation and monitoring of contracts and procurement for a large-scale organization in a similar capacity,

• An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of six (6) years of experience in the preparation and monitoring of contracts and procurement for a large-scale organization in a similar capacity,

• Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the preparation and monitoring of contracts and procurement for a large-scale organization in a similar capacity.

• Experience in procurement of goods and services for a government agency (must specify on application) ,
• Experience using Advantage/other automated inventory/financial system (must specify system used on application) ,
• Experience in managing/preparing contracts with vendors (must specify on application) ,
• Experience with developing/updating policies, procedures, or guidelines for procurement of products and services (must specify on application) , and
• Experience in supervising staff/team members (must specify on application) .
