Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ success as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This maternity leave opportunity is based near Barnesville, GA, serving districts in and around Forsyth, with easy access from surrounding areas like Macon. Your expertise will provide critical services to students, parents, and faculty, helping foster productive and inclusive learning environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Georgia
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Previous experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Participate in eligibility determinations and IEP/504 plan development
- Offer direct counseling and social-emotional support for students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to recommend classroom strategies and interventions
- Support crisis intervention and prevention initiatives as needed
- Maintain up-to-date records consistent with district, state, and federal standards
