This team is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Winston-Salem Seating Group. Conducts product development activities and studies, analyzes tests, and produces sketches, parts, and designs, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards.

This role is onsite, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do :

• You will participate in product development activities, including but not limited to engineering studies, implementation of standard and non-standard specifications, design of parts and validation through testing while considering weight, manufacturability and servicing.
• You will develop data and make layouts, sketches and notes necessary to present design proposals to staff and engineering management.
• You will resolve design problems of simple scope to ensure project completion.
• You will support Project Engineers in deliverables for Main Cabin products.

What You Will Learn :

• You will learn how to apply lessons learned from project-to-project and improve your design philosophy over time.
• You will learn how to design sheet metal, machinings and plastic parts for Main Cabin seats.
• You will learn how to update designs based on test results.

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

** Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer :

• Experience in NX / Teamcenter PLM (or other CAD modeling platform).
• Demonstrates good communication.
• Works well in a team and learns quickly.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
