Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Experience in Med/Surg or PCU - Rehabilitation experience preferred Description: This is an inpatient rehabilitation position on a unit with 35 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5-7:1. Staffing includes 2-4 techs based on patient census. Equipment includes vital signs machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Scheduling requires 12-hour shifts with every other weekend. Nurses may be floated to other medical-surgical departments as needed. The unit performs various procedures including medication administration, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. Dress code consists of navy blue or white solid scrubs. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including nursing staff, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and neuropsychologists. The aim is to impact patient functional improvements and achieve goals for functional independence.
